isoSolutions Assigns New Resources for Brazil Market and Project Management

The Brazil market is a specific focus of isoSolutions and the campaign to establish a strong presence in that market has been further developed. A new team member located in Brazil has been assigned to the marketing and sales activities in that market.

Sergio M. Ramires is an experienced sales and marketing professional with a solid knowledge of the medical business segment as well as business start-ups. He has a bachelor‚Äôs degree in Marketing & Advertisement and holds an MBA from FGV – Sao Paulo. He has had leading responsibilities in various companies such as Nestle Brazil, ALTEL Telecom, ANGELMED (NJ-US), Svelte Medical Systems (NJ-US) and Response Biomedical (Canada). He has also worked as a consultant for start-up businesses in Brazil. In his career he has been working with both Brazilian and Latin American markets. He is married with four children and he currently resides in Sao Paulo.

Sergio will work with Luis Ravaglia, a sales and business development executive with a solid business record in various areas such as cosmetics, health science and biofuels/biotech. He is a chemical engineer with an MS in Organic Chemistry from NC State and holds two MBAs. He has held leading positions in companies such as P&G, Kimberly-Clark, JBS and Bunge (JV with Solazyme) with both local and regional responsibilities over R&D, Business Development and Sales. He currently sits on the Board of Mineraltec S.A. – a start-up in oleochemicals for the electric industry.

Support in the Vancouver office will be provided by Gabriel Freitas, a chemical engineer specialized in project management and controls (MBA) with four years of PMO experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical sector. His background includes experience as a project analyst at a Brazilian based multinational pharmaceutical and cosmetics corporation, Grupo Boticario, and as a process engineer trainee at a multinational specialty chemicals company in France, Croda SAS Chocques. Based on his experience living in foreign countries, he is a fluent Portuguese, English and French speaker. Gabriel is now Project Coordinator for isoSolutions and the Brazil market will be only one of his priorities.

The marketing and sales activities in Brazil will be coordinated by Marvin Calderón, in his role as Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, Latin America.

The Brazil market is a significant component of the South American nuclear medicine market, a key focus of the global efforts of isoSolutions. In order to expand its presence in Brazil, isoSolutions has launched a specific campaign and dedicated additional resources to this objective.

Two new team members are located in Brazil and will be spearheading the marketing and sales activities in that market.

Augusto Tomba is an experienced life sciences executive focused on initiation, management and development of innovative projects and startup businesses, dedicated to the interface between science and business. Augusto has comprehensive knowledge of business development in regulated markets, like biotech products and services, medical devices, nuclear medicine, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Augusto has a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and a PhD in Biochemistry.
